Like the name implies, this refreshing backyard drink will have you feeling cool even on hot summer days. Switchel and bitters are great for supporting digestion, making it an ideal pairing with rich, spicy food. Home gardeners take note: This recipe is a great way to use extra cucumbers and mint!

Ingredients

  • 3 small Persian cucumbers, sliced
  • 6 leaves of fresh mint, plus sprigs for garnish
  • 3 limes: 2 juiced, 1 sliced for garnish
  • 2 cans of Hobby Farmer turmeric switchel
  • 1 cucumber, peeled for garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • Urban Moonshine Calm Tummy bitters in chamomile & ginger

Instructions

In a pitcher, combine the sliced cucumbers, mint leaves, and lime juice. Gently muddle the ingredients to extract the juices. Add the switchel to the pitcher and stir well. Thinly slice one cucumber with a mandoline or vegetable peeler. Line a slice inside each of four glasses, fill the glasses with ice cubes, and add one dropper of bitters to each glass. Strain the cucumber-mint mixture into the glasses. Garnish with mint sprigs, lime slices, or a cucumber ribbon, and serve.
