2023 Lakewinds Organic Field Fund Recipients

Congratulations to the 2023 Lakewinds Organic Field Fund (LOFF) grant recipients! LOFF is our co-op’s grant program focused on supporting the local sustainable farming community. This year, we awarded over $100,000 in LOFF grants to 15 local farms. We’re proud to announce this year’s recipients, and we wish them great success as they work on their projects.

Abdi-Mayfield Farm

$8,000 to finish the inside of packing/storage shed; including insulating, adding electricity, and connecting a water source.

Agua Gorda LLC

Long Prairie, MN

$8,000 for pack shed improvements.

Birds N Things Farm

Ashland, WI

$8,000 to purchase a refrigerated box truck that will be converted for mobile poultry processing.

Cala Farm Origenes

Turtle Lake, WI

$8,000 to build a pack shed.

Callejas Farm

Madelia, MN

$8,000 to purchase a seeder, plastic mulch layer, water wheel transplanter, and a hopper.

Derrydale Farm

Belle Plaine, MN

$4,106 to rebuild a perimeter fence that will restore more than 5 acres of pasture.

Easy Yoke Farm

Zumbro Falls, MN

$8,000 to complete a passive solar greenhouse.

Foxtail Farm

Osceola, WI

$3,705 to make repairs and improvements to an existing greenhouse.

$8,000 for a new refrigeration system at a new food hub location.

$1,464 to build 3 mobile chicken coops.

$3,000 to install an irrigation system.

$8,000 to reconstruct a plant nursery that was destroyed by snow.

$8,000 to retrofit a cattle chute, veterinarians box, weight scale, sick pen, and gates.
