2022 Lakewinds Organic Field Fund Recipients

Congratulations to the 2022 Lakewinds Organic Field Fund (LOFF) grant recipients! LOFF is our co-op’s grant program focused on supporting the local sustainable farming community. This year, we awarded over $90,000 in LOFF grants to 13 local farms. We’re proud to announce this year’s recipients, and we wish them great success as they work on their projects.

Foley, MN

$8,000 to help with pack shed construction.

Cylon Rolling Acres

Deer Park, WI

$8,000 to repair an existing well and install frost-free waterers.

Doubting Thomas Farms

Moorhead, MN

$5,000 to purchase equipment for growing and saving Indigenous seeds with White Earth Tribe.

Gesima Obwororo Organic Farm

Big Lake, MN

$8,000 to purchase a tractor and farming implements.

Kifah-Mayfield Farm

Lindstrom, MN

$8,000 to build a shed for Halal meat processing and egg storage.

Living Song Farm

Howard Lake, MN

$1,200 to install a permanent fence to expand their silvopasture area.

Naima’s Farm

Alexandria, MN

$8,000 to install a permanent deer fence.

Nelson Grass Farm

Ogilvie, MN

$8,000 to purchase a new egg washer.

$8,000 to purchase caterpillar tunnels and tools for scaling up production.

Northwood Mushrooms

$8,000 to help construct a new building to expand mushroom growing operations.

$8,000 to purchase portable wind break panels to keep rotationally grazed cattle on pasture year-round.

Strong Heart Farm

Marine on St. Croix, MN

$7,433 to purchase 3 small caterpillar tunnels and compost.

Turnip Rock Farm

Clear Lake, WI

$5,000 to help with pack shed upgrades including insulation, new wiring, and LED lighting.
